Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule better known by his stage name Blaqbonez has refuted recent accusations of harassment against him calling them untrue upsetting and a part of a larger effort to damage his reputation. The rapper confronted the controversy head-on in an official statement posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday October 27 2025 claiming that the accusations were a deliberate fabrication orchestrated by certain people in the music industry. Blaqbonez claims that the allegations are a part of a sustained pattern of harassment and intimidation that he has experienced over a number of months.
He disclosed that despite experiencing repeated bullying physical assaults and online attacks during the previous year he had previously opted to keep quiet because he thought the truth would speak for itself.
Blaqbonez connected the accusations to a past romantic relationship that according to him ended amicably but has since been coerced into a professional conflict. What started out as a private matter between two adults has been twisted into a broader conflict within the industry he clarified accusing his competitors of publicly discrediting him as a result.

The rapper stated that he has nothing to hide and affirmed that he is fully assisting the authorities to guarantee the facts are made public. Additionally he disclosed that legal action is being taken to deal with what he called persistent defamation and harassment. Blaqbonez concluded by urging more empathy and tolerance stressing that bullying whether physical digital or psychological must never be tolerated and that false accusations destroy real lives.
He expressed gratitude to his admirers and supporters for supporting him during the controversy and reaffirmed that his priorities are still his music his tranquility and clearing his name.
