David Adeleke better known online as Davido is a Nigerian musician who has sparked discussions after disclosing the amount of money that performers can make by playing at private events such as naming ceremonies.

In a recent interview on Tap In With TT, the Unavailable crooner revealed that Nigerian artists could command up to $400000 to perform at these events.

Davido clarified that in contrast to Indian culture where celebrities are regularly invited to attend weddings birthday parties and other celebrations it is customary for wealthy families to hire well-known performers for private events like naming ceremonies.
